My name is Amyre Makupson and I am the Help Line Assistant for the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Michigan Chapter. As the Help Line Assistant, I am able to help the families, caregivers and those afflicted by Alzheimer's Disease. As requested, I send out educational materials both about the disease and services provided by the Alzheimer's Association. Along with my team, we support the many people in need who are effected with and by Alzheimer's disease. Because I, too, have witnessed the hardships that come along with caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease, it brings me a great sense of pride to be able to offer a shoulder to lean on for those who need it! I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 2004. Since then, I have completed my educational career at Wayne State University located in Detroit, MI after earning my Master of Arts degree in Communication in 2006.
