Mission Statement

BoomerPrimeNews is committed to producing network quality news programming for the broadcast television industry targeting the 78 million men and women born between 1946 and 1964 (identified by the US Census Bureau as the “Baby Boomer Generation”).

Of this group, boomers age 46 to 54 over-index in earning and spending power, making them highly sought after by blue-chip advertisers who now spend ad budgets on cable news networks in order to connect with these hard-to-reach viewers.

These boomers are in the prime of their lives. They are active, robust and smart. This demographic group is the most affluent and influential segment of the television audience, representing the sweet spot that drives television news ratings. BoomerPrimeNews will focus primarily on finance, health, active lifestyles and boomers giving back and making a difference.

In partnership with local broadcast news, BoomerPrimeNews will fill an important need by serving this growing and increasingly vital segment of the US television audience.

*50PlusPrime news programming is changing its name to BoomerPrimeNews in 2012.
