ZANESVILLE, OHIO -- Communication with family is important whether you are 7 or 70 years old. Bearing that in mind, Zandex Healthcare Corporation has launched the Maria Madeline Project for residents of the Apartments a Cedar Hill, 1126 Adair Road.

It is the first facility of its kind in Ohio to adopt the project, which will provide residents the opportunity to participate in all kinds of communications via computer - from compiling autobiographies and family photo scrapbooks, to benefiting from an information pool provided by experts in several professions. Family members and friends across the country will be able to tap into the web site.

The project links each resident with a young person who will help them master the computer skills they need to operate the program and find their way around the Internet.

Young Zanesville volunteers, including Girl Scouts from Troop 560, have volunteered for the program.

Ribbon cutting for the project was attended by: Rep. Jim Aslanides, Zanesville Mayor Jack Fenton, Dorothy Montgomery, Muskingum County Commissioner; Zandex President Stoey Stout and Yvonne Factor, Director of Community Development for the Zandex Corporation.
