(50PlusPrime) SPRINGFIELD, OHIO --

I found a new job in a city about one and a half hours from Cincinnati. Cincinnati was the city I wanted to move to.

However, there wasn't a job there. So, I made the decision to move to Springfield, Ohio.

Moving didn't happen the way I had planned. My last day of work in Michigan was on a Thursday. I had planned on taking a week to pack and move. That plan was changed when I decided not to hire a professional moving company. I decided to go with a friend who offered to pack and move me.

But, in going with my friend, there was a catch. Now, I had to move on the day after I quit my job.  However, my friend couldn't drive to Springfield with my belongings until Saturday. That meant I had an empty apartment in Michingan and an empty apartment in Ohio. So, I decided to leave for Springfield on Friday knowing that the truck wouldn't arrive until Saturday morning.

I realized that this is like life. The best made plans usually do not happen the way we think they will happen. If we trust in God, then God's plan happens. I remain open to how God works in my life.

If we remain open to the changes that God puts us through then we will not be disappointed in the end results. I am making many new friends in a new city that is friendly. It is a refreshing change of pace for me. I will continue to remain open to the path God will send me down in the years to come.

Trust in God is not easy but it does set one's soul free.
