(50PlusPrime) SOUTH LYON, MICHIGAN --

To all my fellow baby boomers out there, let me paint you an image of what I call a little slice of heaven.

A warm sunny afternoon where the tropical breeze is welcome and the temperature is always in the high 80’s. The quiet teal blue sea is ever so slowly rolling against the shore. A place where you can go and have a beautiful quiet romantic dinner barefoot on the beach at sunset, or get dressed up and enjoy one of the many restaurants that Aruba has to offer.

Aruba is home to more than 100 fine restaurant choices. The word is that El Gaucho’s restaurant has the best Argentine steak dinner on the island!

From El Gaucho’s website:

El Gaucho is located in an old townhouse at 80 Wilhelminastreet, it's the first Argentine restaurant to open it's doors in Aruba on February 17, 1977. El Gaucho Restaurant serves a variety of tempting dishes, featuring quality Argentine steaks, tender and juicy, charcoal-grilled to perfection, such as the famous Gaucho steak, 16 oz sirloin, Pincho Torro Caliente (the biggest shishkebab ever served) T-bone steak, vealchop and more. While many restaurants are currently serving Churrasco steak, we must say that our version is the original and still the very best. Reservations required. See: http://www.elgaucho-aruba.com.

For the seafood lover, Simply Fish restaurant next to the Marriott Ocean Club is a must see. For information, click here. Reservations required.

On October 10-11 Aruba will hold its seventh annual Aruba Music Festival. This year world-renowned musicians Reo Speed wagon and Gloria Estefan will be performing live. Tickets are on sale now.

From: http://www.aruba.com/amf:

Enjoy sun, fun, and classic rock music at the 7th Annual Aruba Music Festival, October 10th and 11th. The Festival is held at the Aruba Entertainment Center, which is located 5 minutes by car from downtown Oranjestad, and 15 minutes from the hotel district. The intimate outdoor venue offers visitors excellent sound quality and unobstructed sight lines of the stage from any seat.

For you baby boomer golfers, on August 21-25 Aruba will host an international pro-am golf tournament. Professional and amateur golfers team up in a two-day, 36-hole tournament for gifts and prizes and special events.

And what about the weather? You can't beat it. Aruba is 19 miles long and 6 miles wide and sits below the hurricane belt, gets very little rain, and has seven miles of white sandy beaches. The perfect spot all year long!

My picture has been painted.  I would love to send you there so you too can make memories of your own. If this is something you might want to experience please don’t hesitate to give me a call and we will get you booked for a vacation that will stay with you forever.
